About DREAM LINK PROJECT
DREAM LINK PROJECTÂ was created by Les Redway, a creative visionary who recognises the need for intervention for young people (YP) struggling with mainstream education. Drawing on his diverse experiences from living and working in various places, Les nurtures young people through experiential learning. This approach helps young individuals learn from their own experiences, providing a platform for them to speak and be heard, and allowing them to develop their judgment. Les equips young people with the necessary tools to empower them and connects them to relevant services and agencies for further intervention.
More About Les
Les Redway is an informal educator and youth worker with solid experience across the country. Originally from London, he has also lived in Oxford and now resides in Liverpool. Les employs an anti-oppressive practice, focusing on giving young people a voice and enabling them to make informed decisions, drawing from his own experiences of overcoming adversity.
Les's journey has been far from conventional. He graduated in 2017 with a degree in Community Development and Youth from Ruskin College. Since then, he has worked as a teaching assistant at Everton Free School and transitioned into an informal educator role, blending youth work with a pastoral approach.
Notable Achievements
Educational Support: Helped two young people get back on track with education through alternative learning methods in Liverpool. Both students went on to complete their GCSEs, gaining valuable cultural capital.
Mission: Les is dedicated to preventing young people from becoming NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training). He acts as the link between young individuals and service providers, ensuring both parties are heard and supported.
Les is currently a youth worker at VIBE UK, where he continues to make a significant impact on the lives of young people.
